What To Expect
You’re all booked and I am so excited to create some magic with you! You may have questions but no worries, I’ve got you covered. I’m often told, “I’m SO awkward! I don’t know what I’m doing!” I will direct you the entire time and by the end you’ll practically be a pro.
Please show up on time, dressed and ready to go so that you can have your full shoot time.
If it’s just you, feel free to make a playlist to get the vibes going! I have a speaker, just let me know if you want me to bring it.
If you want a friend to tag-a-long to hype you up, go for it! But you know yourself best, so if having someone else around is going to make you uncomfortable, then just skip this suggestion.
Make sure to moisturize any skin that will be showing! I can do quite a bit in photoshop, but ashy elbows are hard to correct.
If you don’t like your outfits, you aren’t going to like your photos. Make sure you wear something you’re absolutely confident in. If you need help with what to wear, don’t hesitate to reach out. We can send over inspo photos or even a Pinterest board with ideas for you!
Families: bring whatever will make your kids happiest! Toys, snacks, I’m down for whatever and not against bribery at all. ;)
My shoots are pretty active. I’m usually in woodsy areas, or walking a ton in general so I would suggest bringing a comfy pair of shoes to walk in and then change into another pair if you wish!
As far as props go, my goal is to showcase the real you and more often than not, extra items can take away from that. I’m all for a blanket to sit on, or maybe a sonogram for a maternity shoot, but it’s best to keep it simple.
A few reminders:
You must sign your contract before your session. My assistant Lyric will be sending this to your inbox via Docusign.
I will send a few previews with my watermark on them 1-2 days after your session to get you excited. :) You are welcome to post online as long as you tag me, but you cannot print these (and I wouldn’t suggest it anyway because they are low quality, ideal for social media only).
Galleries are delivered to your inbox via Pixieset.
Turn around time is 2-3 weeks unless you’ve paid for high priority editing.
View all of your best photos with the first round of editing done; (this basically means it will look like my coloring/toning).
You choose the ones you want and send them back to me. I will retouch your choices and deliver the finals to you! (Turnaround time for final edits is usually 1-2 days.)
You can then download them straight to your computer. There will be instructions on how to do this when you receive your gallery! It’s pretty simple.
Something to note- once I send the final download link, it will expire in 7 days, so be on the lookout for that to avoid a reactivation fee.
If you do end up choosing extra images, the final download link will be sent once the invoice for additional photos has been paid.
I hope this helped you feel prepared for your session. I’m so excited to work with you! If you have any questions at all, feel free to email or text me. :)
