A New Kind of Photography Education

Education & Mentorship for Photographers

Ugly truth coming atcha: the world has enough photographers.

At least, it has enough of the typical photographer. You know: the ones with the boring portfolios filled with the same beautiful clients in the same beautiful spaces doing the same generic poses.

I’m over those kinds of photographers.

Our world needs more photographers with vision. Photographers who can find the story. Photographers whose connection with their clients radiates beyond the lens. Photographers with courage.

Let me teach you how to be one of those photographers.

“Having someone who speaks truth, based on years of experience, is exactly what I needed. Lauren is unapologetically herself, invested in your success and coaches you through whatever might be a roadblock in your growth. Thankful for (her), because (she’s) helped me with more than just photo/biz skills.”

The Learning Process

01. It all starts with an application to learn from me, which you can submit here. If we vibe, and once we’ve found a date for your coaching, I’ll send you an invoice and once it’s paid you’re booked.

02. You’ll tell me what problems you’re facing and what you’d like to learn in an onboarding questionnaire. This will help me prep for our mentorship so that, when the time comes, I have As for all of your Qs.

03. School’s in session, babe! Make sure you bring your camera and your questions to our session(s). Whether we’re working together for an hour or a month, I can’t wait to show ya all the tricks up my sleeve.

“ To make a very long story short — (the day I signed up) it was a life changing decision. Lauren is so talented and passionate and I’ve admired her work for so long that I decided to make the investment on myself, for myself.”

— Casey

Meet your Mentor

As a self-taught photographer raised by multi-entrepreneurial parents with 10 years in the business, I’ve read books, listened to podcasts, watched YouTube videos, and enrolled in workshops across the world, all in the pursuit of taking a better picture. And, having all of those experiences, I can tell you first-hand that I’ve never learned better or grown faster than I did when I had a mentor. That precious one-on-one time with a photographer I admired pulled my best work out of me, and now I’m ready to be that person for you. I can’t wait to show you everything I know.

Questions? I’ve got answers.

  • Yes, and no. I typically cover camera logistics and composition, directing, editing, and business. Still, I like to make sure each mentorship experience is tailored to you and your needs; a brand new photographer is going to need different help than someone with years of experience. Let’s work together to create an experience that will cover all the bases that are important to you.

  • The best way to find out my schedule is to ask. I only work with one mentee at a time to make sure you get plenty of my time and attention.

  • While I don’t offer payment plans for the One Hour Mentorship, I’m happy to offer a two-payment option for my One Month Mentorship program. Just let me know you’d like a payment plan when you inquire.

  • Yes! My One Hour Mentorship calls are perfect for any photographer who wants to learn and has an internet connection. Unfortunately, I can only offer my One Month Mentorship to Austinites and other local Texans because two of our three sessions revolve around in-person shoots.

“Teach Me, LP.”

Yessssss! I’d love to! The only thing between you and a killer learning opportunity that’ll level-up your photography is this button right down here. Let’s get your shutter-clicking finger warmed up and click that button, mkay?
